Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all emergencies in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Operate various emergency equipment required by the Scope of Practice.
  • Inspect all emergency equipment, apparatuses, and personal protective equipment in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Conduct inspections as per FM Global and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and associated fire protection systems in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Public Fire Prevention and Education Programs, including fire extinguisher training and fire drills.
  • Participate in required training programs to meet certification standards, including specialized training for equipment.
  • Maintain all professional certifications.

Outcomes:

  • Complete all reports, documents, and records as per organizational policies and procedures.
  • Plan, respond, mitigate, and recover from various emergency situations as outlined by the Scope of Services.
  • Inspect, maintain, and operate all emergency equipment according to organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hazardous Materials Awareness
  • Hazardous Materials Operations
  • Texas Department of State and Health Services and/or National Registry EMT-Basic

Skills/Certifications required within the first 120 days of hire:
*Successful candidates will be expected to obtain these certifications within 120 days, with support and resources provided by the Company.

  • Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF)
  • First Aid, AED Certification, and CPR
  • Courage to Be Safe Certification
  • Class B Exempt Driver's License
  • National Incident Management System: ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • ARFF Driver Operator
  • Hazardous Materials Incident Commander
  • EMT-Paramedic
  • National Incident Management System: ICS 300 and 400
  • Associate's Degree in a related field
