An established industry player is seeking dedicated fire service professionals to respond to emergencies and ensure safety. This role involves operating emergency equipment, conducting inspections, and participating in public fire prevention education programs. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in fire service, including various NFPA certifications and EMT qualifications. Responsibilities:
Respond to all emergencies IAW organizational policies and procedures.
Operate various emergency equipment required by the Scope of Practice.
Inspect all emergency equipment, apparatuses, and personal protective equipment IAW organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers recommendations.
Conduct inspections IAW FM Global and organizational policies and procedures.
Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and associated fire protection systems IAW organizational policies and procedures.
Assist with Public Fire Prevention and Education Programs to include but not limited to: Fire extinguisher training and fire drills.
Participate in required training programs to meet the above certification standards. This may include specialized training for equipment purchased to perform required duties.
Maintain all professional certifications.
Outcomes:
Ensures all reports, documents, and records are completed IAW organizational policies and procedures.
Properly plan, respond, mitigate, and recover from multiple types of emergency situations as outlined by the Scope of Services.
Properly inspect, maintain, and operate all provided emergency equipment IAW organizational policies, procedures, and manufacturers recommendations.
Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
Education:
NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications
NFPA 1002, Standard for Pumper Driver Operator
NFPA 1003, Standard for Airport Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications
NFPA 1072, Standard for Hazardous Material/Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Response Personnel Professional Qualifications
TDSHS or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Certification
Federal Emergency Management Agency NIMS Qualifications
Skills/Certifications:
Minimum of 3 years Fire Service Experience
Structural Fire Fighter 1
Structural Fire Fighter 2
Hazardous Materials Awareness
Hazardous Materials Operations
Texas Department of State Health Services or National Registry EMT-Basic
National Incident Management Systems: ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid, and AED Certification
Courage to Be Safe Certification
Class B Exempt Drivers License

Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF)
FPO Pumper Driver Operator
ARFF Driver Operator
