Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, test, service, and install portable extinguishers and fire safety equipment in accordance with applicable codes.

The role requires strong documentation habits, a customer-service mindset, and willingness to travel to client sites. The position demands knowledge of NFPA codes, proficiency with standard PC software, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and work in varying environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, IOS and database software.
• Working knowledge of test equipment including multimeters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters, and communicating devices.
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 feet.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, or install portable fire extinguishers and suppression systems as assigned.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and records.
• Travel as needed, including nights and weekends to meet customer schedules.
• Provide professional communication and excellent customer service.
• Perform work indoors with some site conditions similar to construction.
