Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, test, service and install portable extinguishers and related safety systems in accordance with NFPA codes. This role supports customers across commercial, industrial and institutional sites, with a focus on safety and quality.

This full-time position requires travel, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional work nights or weekends to accommodate customer schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a fire extinguisher technician.
• Familiar with NFPA codes and standards.
• Able to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel with possible nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service and install portable fire extinguishers and related safety systems.
• Perform inspections and provide high-quality service for established customers.
• Maintain accurate and precise documentation daily.
• Communicate professionally with customers and ensure excellent service.
• Work safely and efficiently in indoor and site environments.
• Other duties as assigned.
