Job summary

Marion Military Institute seeks a dedicated professional to serve as AAS Fire Science Program Manager, Senior Instructor, and Instructional Coordinator. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and managing Fire & EMS programs, mentoring cadets, and coordinating with the Alabama Fire College for adjuncts and certifications.

The ideal candidate has extensive firefighting experience, strong leadership, and proven program management ability.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Fighter or EMS; volunteer firefighter/EMS acceptable.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience as a trainer, particularly in training fire and EMS skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, professional conduct, and supervisory experience.
Minimum two years of program management or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise all fire and EMS part-time instructors, including adjuncts.
Develop and implement a plan to increase enrollment and completion rates.
Coordinate with Alabama Fire College to expand Fire/EMS offerings.
Manage cadet progress and track follow-on success after program completion.
Mentor cadets and provide classroom instruction as the firefighting Senior Instructor.
