Job summary

Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve seeks an experienced instructor to design and deliver engaging Fire and EMS courses, collaborating with higher education to support CCP credit. Build a future-ready program aligned to state standards and workforce needs.

The role requires at least five years of industry experience in Fire/EMS and five years of teaching in Fire and EMS; license eligibility or Ohio ODE Workforce Development approval is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of documented, relevant industry experience (CTE requirement).
  • At least 5 years of documented teaching experience in both Fire and EMS instruction.
  • Willingness to work with an institute of higher education to become a CCP instructor.
  • Appropriate teaching license or the ability to obtain one through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong industry partnerships
  • Establish and facilitate a Program Advisory Committee
  • Work closely with school and district staff to ensure a high-quality, future-ready program
Anticipated Courses:
  • Foundations of Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (Subject Code: 170342)
  • Medical Terminology (Subject Code: 072150)
Required Qualifications:
