Job summary

Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools in Ohio seeks a seasoned Fire/EMS instructor to design and deliver engaging instruction for high school and CCP students. The role requires coordination with higher education partners and alignment to state standards.

You will develop curricula, build industry partnerships, and chair the Program Advisory Committee to ensure a high-quality, future-ready program that prepares students for high-skill careers in Fire/EMS.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Fire/EMS (CTE requirement).
  • At least 5 years of documented teaching experience in Fire and EMS instruction.
  • Willingness to collaborate with higher education to become a CCP instructor.
  • Appropriate teaching license or the ability to obtain one through Ohio requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging instruction in fire and EMS courses
  • Develop curriculum aligned to workforce needs, state standards, and student interests
  • Collaborate with an institute of higher education to serve as a College Credit Plus (CCP) instructor
  • Build and maintain strong industry partnerships
  • Establish and facilitate a Program Advisory Committee
  • Work closely with school and district staff to ensure a high-quality, future-ready program

Required Qualifications

  • Appropriate teaching license or the ability to obtain one through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce Development
