MIKEL is seeking a Fire Control Test and Hardware Technician to join the Trainers team in Manassas, VA. The role requires a SECRET security clearance and hands-on experience with AN/BYG-1 and submarine-related systems.

The position includes delivering training systems to Navy fleets and occasional travel to customer sites. The candidate will develop and execute test plans, perform system verification, and provide operation and maintenance instruction while collaborating with a cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or related field plus 4 years job-related experience.
• 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master’s degree.
• Must have prior Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT).
• Must hold DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Develops and executes test plans to prepare training systems for delivery.
• Develops and executes system verification test documentation at customer sites.
• Instructs in operation and maintenance of the system for customers and personnel.
• Participates in tactical planning and design of the system at partner locations.
• Designs, develops, analyzes, and troubleshoots during R&D.
• Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots development hardware.
• Supports hardware infrastructure design and implementation.
• Collaborates with the engineering team and assists others on setup/maintenance.
• Maintains hardware inventory and documents configuration changes.
• Supports analysis of power/cooling for server room sustainment.
