County Emergency Communications is seeking a dedicated Fire Dispatcher to handle incoming reports, verify locations, and coordinate dispatch across multiple stations. The role requires accurate data entry, proficiency with computer systems, maps, and radio communication, and may include fire dispatch or EMS coursework.

Applicants should meet eligibility requirements, endure shift work including nights and weekends, and complete the necessary training and certifications as assigned by the agency.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and document reports of fires, rescues, alarms, and hazardous conditions
• Verify incident locations, access information, and reported risks
• Alert stations and dispatch apparatus using approved response assignments
• Monitor radio channels, unit availability, and incident status
• Relay information about occupants, hazards, and changing conditions
• Process requests for additional resources through established procedures
• Coordinate mutual-aid communications when assigned
• Record dispatch times, unit movements, and significant incident updates
