Job summary

Advanced Project Solutions (APS) in Madison, WI seeks a Technical Project Coordinator to manage project coordination, scheduling with field technicians, and material ordering and tracking for fire and burglar systems.

The role includes directing installation, maintenance, testing, and repair activities, and assisting internal staff with troubleshooting across systems operations, hardware, software and operator issues.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with FireLite fire alarm systems, Ademco burglar systems, Genetec, DMP, Bosch and Honeywell.
• Fluency in card access systems, intrusion alarm systems, central station monitoring and energy monitoring systems.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year College or technical school; or minimum 2 years related field experience.
• Knowledge of local and national fire protection codes.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret job specific SOW schematics, line drawings, user materials, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good organization and computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheets, database)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling with field installation/service technicians and track project materials.
• Direct installation, maintenance, testing and repair of fire and burglar systems.
• Support internal projects personnel for troubleshooting concerning systems operations, hardware and software.
