The City of Saint Paul is seeking a Fire Buildings Repairer to maintain and repair fire department facilities, systems and equipment at multiple sites. The role emphasizes problem solving, hands-on maintenance and coordination with trades staff.
Candidate will work on site 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no remote work. Must have boiler license, refrigeration cert, and a valid Minnesota Class D license. City offers health, retirement, and paid time off benefits.
Do you want to play an important role in protecting the life and property of the people of Saint Paul? We’re looking for a Fire Buildings Repairer to join the Saint Paul Fire Department. Having a good overall maintenance or construction background will help you to troubleshoot many different types of needs within the department such as HVAC, garage door, and appliance repair.
Works out of the Fire Maintenance Shop, at 676 Bedford St. Saint Paul, but conducts repair work at multiple fire buildings. Works alongside trades staff including a painter and carpenter, as well as another Fire Buildings Repairer. The typical working schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on site, with no remote work available.
