Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues and deliver expert customer service on-site at client locations across Alabama and beyond.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience, NICET certifications or licensing preferred, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with service teams.

Qualifications

• NICET certifications are strongly preferred and licensing is advantageous.
• Experience with NFPA codes, especially NFPA 72, is required or preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics and fire alarm manuals for installation and service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire alarm components for proper operation and compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports of inspections, test results and deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs to restore functionality.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies with problem solving.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document all service activities in ServiceTrade.
• Coordinate with teams to provide accurate inspection reports and repair estimates.
