Job summary

Independence Fire Sprinkler is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems in the Greater Philadelphia area. You’ll work with a supportive team to deliver reliable safety solutions for our clients.

The role requires familiarity with NFPA codes, hands-on installation and inspection, and the ability to travel to job sites. A valid driver’s license and physical capability are required; company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Experienced: Hands-on experience in the fire alarm industry, including installation and inspection.
• Knowledgeable: Familiarity with all applicable NFPA codes and standards.
• Skilled Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Physically Capable: Ability to carry and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm systems, including electrical wiring and equipment, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes.
• Program, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and emergency repairs of fire alarm systems.
• Ensure all systems meet local licensure requirements, including acquiring and maintaining necessary licenses/certifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Travel to job sites across the Philadelphia area and surrounding areas as necessary (company vehicle provided).
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs.
• Maintain detailed records of work completed and provide clear reports to clients and management.
