Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Fire Alarm Install Technician in the Downingtown area. The role focuses on independently installing fire alarm systems, programming them from scratch, and ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has programming experience, 3+ years in fire and life safety, and a NICET certification is preferred. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites are required.

Qualifications

• Fire alarm programming experience is required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Program fire alarms from scratch.
• Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans and codes.
• Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
