Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to support our Modesto branch. You will install, service, test, and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72 and safety standards while delivering reliable on-site customer support.

This role requires strong low‑voltage wiring skills, knowledge of Silent Knight and Fire-Lite systems, and the ability to train teammates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role in construction.
• Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems including Silent Knight and Fire-Lite.
• Proficiency in NFPA 72 and other safety regulations.
• Strong skills in low voltage electrical wiring.
• Experience with security and fire alarms installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 standards.
• Test and inspect systems to ensure safety regulations compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, cleaning, and repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with construction teams to integrate alarms into building designs.
