Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to support our Modesto branch. The role involves on-site service, installation, inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm equipment across various manufacturers.

You will install, program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, working closely with construction teams to integrate systems into building designs and provide technical training to teammates.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems including Silent Knight and Fire-Lite.
Proficiency in NFPA 72 and other relevant safety regulations.
Strong skills in low voltage electrical wiring.
Experience with installation, programming and troubleshooting of fire alarms.
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Install, program, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per NFPA 72.
Test and inspect systems to ensure safety and compliance.
Perform routine maintenance on fire alarm systems.
Collaborate with construction teams to integrate systems into buildings.
Provide technical support and training to colleagues.
Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues professionally.
Stay updated on new fire alarm technologies and regulations.
