Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to support our Modesto branch. The role involves on-site service, installation, inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm equipment across various manufacturers.

You will install, program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, working closely with construction teams to integrate systems into building designs and provide technical training to teammates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems including Silent Knight and Fire-Lite.
• Proficiency in NFPA 72 and other relevant safety regulations.
• Strong skills in low voltage electrical wiring.
• Experience with installation, programming and troubleshooting of fire alarms.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Job Summary

Rapid Fire is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to support our Modesto branch. The function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site service, installation, inspection, repairing and/or replacement of fire alarm equipment. Ability to conduct preventive maintenance services pertaining to many different manufacturers' equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 standards.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they are in good working order and compliant with safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance on fire alarm systems, including testing, cleaning, and repairing components as needed.
• Work closely with construction teams to integrate fire alarm systems into building designs.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members on fire alarm systems.
• Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest fire alarm technologies and safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements

• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing as necessary
• Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting
• Requires the ability to raise, manipulate and maneuver tools, components and materials and handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc.
