Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Technician to support the programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and installation of commercial fire alarm systems in Albany and New Windsor, NY.

This role works closely with project teams, engineering, sales, AHJs, and customers to ensure successful project delivery from startup through final acceptance and will involve field surveys, testing, and coordinating with field teams.

Qualifications

• 1-5+ years of fire alarm installation, service, or commissioning experience.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting commercial fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read fire alarm drawings, schematics, and smoke control reports.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm circuits, devices, and system components.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and state fire code requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
