Prestige Fire is hiring a field technician to help build a new division from the ground up. The role offers a leadership-track path with opportunities to lead installation, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.

Expect to work across Greater Boston and surrounding areas, with overtime potential and a competitive hourly rate based on prior fire alarm experience. A strong focus on safety and team collaboration is emphasized.

Job Description

Whether you’re just beginning your career or looking to advance into a leadership role, this is a chance to be part of building a new division from the ground up. Senior-level candidates will find a clear path toward advanced responsibilities, including leadership and management as the division grows.

Hours typically M-F, 7am-3:30pm depending on job site needs (start times may vary 6am-8am), with the opportunity for Overtime.

Range of work generally just outside the 495 corridor to the coast - i.e. Greater Boston, Southern NH, and Eastern & Central Massachusetts. Our home office is located in Billerica, MA, right off Rte 3.

Hourly rate commensurate upon previous Fire Alarm experience.

Essential Functions:

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system repairs
• Lead and execute fire alarm system installations
• Program and commissioning fire alarm systems (preferred experience)
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to build out division processes
• Oversee Tests & Inspections
• Train technicians on the Test & Inspection process
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and safety standards

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record
• Proven experience in fire alarm system installation and diagnostics (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a growing environment
• Massachusetts Class B Journeyman or Class D Systems Technician License (preferred)
• Fire alarm system programming experience (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Holds high ethical standards at all times
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts typically 8 hours, occasionally longer
• Capable of moving up and down stairs and working on ladders & scissor lifts
• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass security clearance (as required for some jobs)
