Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Technician to service and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and construction environments. The role works independently, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions with minimal supervision.

You will interpret drawings and specifications, complete accurate service reports, and ensure compliance with codes and company policies while delivering reliable, high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Complete standard service calls without direct supervision.
  • Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and inspection records.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Identify potential system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm Service Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm systems. This position is capable of completing standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision.
