Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Fire Alarm Service and Inspections Technician to service and inspect fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

The role involves on-site diagnostics, testing, and repairs of fire alarm and life safety systems, with duties extending to reading project documents and coordinating with customers. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and a technical background; NICET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires on-site inspection, testing and repair of fire alarm and related systems.
• Understanding project documentation and scope for inspections.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspection, testing, troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm, suppression and releasing systems and related devices.
• Read and interpret project documentation and work orders for inspections; determine if more information is needed.
• Manage daily call activity and program system products, including networking.
