Job summary

South Western Communications is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain electrical fire alarm systems. You will interpret blueprints, support wiring and programming, and communicate performance to customers.

The role requires 5+ years in fire alarm service, NICET certification, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required, and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Five years of testing, maintenance and service of fire alarm systems.
• Experience with access control systems and CCTV is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and schematics.
• Supervise installation to meet customer specifications.
• Install, test, program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems and components.
• Perform wiring and installation tasks with hand and power tools.
• Learn about new products, upgrades and software related to fire and security systems.
• Diagnose equipment requiring service and provide solutions to customers.
