Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Technician in Westerville, OH to install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems on diverse projects. You will train customers, document activities, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure code compliance.

The role requires strong electronics knowledge, Edwards system experience, NICET II certification, and a willingness to travel locally. A driver’s license and mentoring mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• NICET Level II in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• EST4 Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Willingness to travel locally for sites and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, start-up/check-out, test, and commission fire alarm systems.
• Provide customer training and perform documentation for assigned projects.
• Interpret drawings and schematics; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to meet codes and standards.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and promote a safety-first culture.
