Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, run start-up/check-out, test and commission fire alarm and life-safety systems on assigned projects. You will train customers and complete all project documentation in a dynamic team environment.

You will interpret schematics, work with Edwards or equivalent systems, and ensure code compliance. A valid driver’s license, NICET II certification, and local license are required, with opportunities to advance within a diverse,

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Willing to learn fire alarm systems and electronic security basics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, startup, test and commission fire alarm systems on projects.
• Provide customer training and complete documentation for assigned projects.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to guide installation.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve issues and meet codes.
