Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to service commercial fire alarm systems at our Laurel, MD location, serving customers across the greater Washington, D.C. area.

You will perform testing, inspections, maintenance, and on-the-job training for junior technicians, helping keep buildings and occupants safe while representing Siemens on site. Responsibilities include executing tests under maintenance agreements, writing reports, diagnosing and repairing issues,

Qualifications

• Must have NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1.
• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Must be able to read/understand design and construction documents.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects.
• Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively.
