Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to support our service team and clients. The role emphasizes accurate fault analysis, NFPA-compliant reporting, and effective customer communication.

You will work closely with colleagues to maintain life safety systems and ensure reliable operation. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a repair or service role, familiarity with NFPA 72 and electrical code

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a repair or systems technician role within the Fire Life and Safety industry.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm systems, including smoke control and networked solutions.
• Familiarity with NFPA 72 and NFPA 70 Article 760 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems across conventional, addressable, voice systems, complex smoke control, and networked solutions.
• Use a variety of troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions.
• Ensure maximum system detection and alarm coverage when effecting repairs.
• Produce repair reports in accordance with NFPA for customer acceptance and billing information.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other technicians.
