What You’ll Do

• Assist in testing, programming, and commissioning fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Assist in servicing fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software, schematics, and manuals.
• Perform all work in accordance with local and national codes, best practices, and safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members to improve operations.
• Stay informed on company policies and present a professional image at all times.

What You’ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, familiar with hand and power tools.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to travel locally; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Experience: 3-5 years as a fire alarm service technician, programming EST 3 or EST 4 (Edwards) systems or similar.

Preferred Experience: 2 years in commercial/industrial/low voltage/electrical fields (not required).

• NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm
• Associate degree in Electronic Technology or Instrumentation
