Job summary

Premier Fire & Security is hiring an Alarm Technician to install, service and maintain fire alarm and security systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality customer support. The role involves hands-on electrical work, blueprints reading, and diagnostic tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires safe work practices, local travel, and potential on-call rotation. Typical hours are weekdays with some overtime as needed; driven by project needs and service schedules.

Qualifications

• 2 years applicable field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant experience includes installation, service and testing of commercial/industrial fire alarm systems and security systems.
• High School Degree or GED preferred.
• The position drives a company vehicle and must possess the appropriate licenses.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm and security devices and related equipment according to industry standards, following blueprints, layouts and building plans.
• Tests systems to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and programmers.
• Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
• Maintain professional, timely communication with customers to assure problem resolution.
• Demonstrates systems for customers and explains details, such as causes of false alarms.
• Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform all activities according to safety requirements.
