Century Fire Protection in Ocala, FL is seeking a highly motivated Fire Alarm Technician responsible for inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. Responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. This role ensures systems operate properly and comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. The technician works independently in the field, providing high-quality service while maintaining strong customer relationships.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred; minimum of 1–3 years of experience servicing fire alarm or life safety systems preferred; NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred or required based on state; strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.
Microsoft Office applications; proficiency with fire alarm panels, devices, and testing equipment; ability to use mobile service software, smartphones, and basic computer applications; familiarity with system manufacturers such as Notifier or equivalent preferred.
Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and in occupied buildings; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; field‑based role at commercial, industrial, and multi‑family properties; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and electrical environments; on‑call rotation and occasional overtime may be required.
