Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Ocala, FL is seeking a highly motivated Fire Alarm Technician responsible for inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. You will ensure systems operate properly and comply with codes while delivering high-quality service and building strong customer relationships.

The role requires independent field work, the ability to diagnose issues, program control panels, complete documentation, and effective communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience servicing fire alarm or life safety systems preferred.
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred or required based on state.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire alarm and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Program, configure, and verify fire alarm control panels and related devices.
• Complete detailed service reports, inspection documentation, and compliance forms.
• Maintain accurate records of system work, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Communicate with customers regarding system status, required repairs, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, and inspectors as needed.
• Stay current with industry codes, technologies, and certification requirements.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and emergency service response.
