Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems. This hands-on field role emphasizes problem solving, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of fire alarm experience, and knowledge of NFPA 72/NEC. NICET certification is preferred or may be required by state regulations; experience with Notifier panels is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of fire alarm or life safety experience preferred.
• NICET Fire Alarm certification preferred or required based on state requirements.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.
• Experience with fire alarm panels, devices, and testing equipment.
• Notifier or similar manufacturer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete timely repairs.
• Program and configure fire alarm control panels and devices.
• Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and compliance forms.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate repair needs with customers.
• Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, and inspectors.
• Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicles.
• Follow NFPA standards, local codes, and company safety procedures.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and emergency service response.
