Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician. You will inspect, test, program, and service a range of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance, reliability, and readiness for operation. This field-based role offers significant autonomy and variety across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or industry experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within territory.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations.
• Hands-on experience with major manufacturers listed.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication with customers and teams.
• Ability to manage multiple service assignments independently.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs per NFPA 72 and standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide clear recommendations.
• Respond to emergency calls including nights/weekends/on-call.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams for timely service.
• Document service activities with findings and parts used.
• Maintain clear customer communication on status and next steps.
• Uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on site.
