Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to support our Lakewood, CO branch serving Denver and surrounding areas. You will service, inspect, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems and mentor junior technicians on the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience programming and/or servicing commercial fire alarm systems.
• Denver FA2.
• Must obtain a NICET II Fire Alarm certification within 6 months.
• Must be able and willing to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material.
• Code Compliance: Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
