Job summary

Siemens in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements, ensuring compliance with codes and customer requirements.

You will mentor junior technicians, document test results, and coordinate with lead technicians and supervisors to plan efficient task execution, delivering safe and reliable building environments for our customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Ability to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone and tablet, and lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 3 within 12 months.
• Must be able to read and understand design and construction documents.
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete repairs to maintain system functionality; report on activities completed or deferred.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide parts and labor details to estimators and sales for larger projects.
• Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks efficiently.
