Job summary

Summit Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision. The role requires hands-on experience in the fire life safety industry and a strong commitment to safety and documentation.

Based in Tempe, AZ, the technician will perform repairs, align with codes, and collaborate with internal teams. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 20% are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NICET or state-specific certification preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically Fire Alarm.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification strongly preferred.
• Must read/write/communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot faults in fire alarm systems.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components.
• Follow safety procedures and use required tools and equipment.
• Program fire alarm systems and document work orders.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
