Job summary

MSS Fire and Security, LLC in North Carolina seeks a Project Technician – Fire to install and certify fire safety products, guiding the installation to meet quality and safety standards.

You will add devices to existing systems, perform minor repairs and programming, and interact with customers and general contractors to ensure work meets expectations. This role may involve emergency service on a rotation.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems.
• Experience in reading blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and parts manuals.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds and work on lifts.
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and certification of fire safety product lines.
• Guide installation process and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Add devices to existing systems and certify after modifications.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to keep systems operational.
• Interact with customers or general contractors to ensure expectations.
• Communicate schedule, material needs, or issues with Project Management.
• Complete assigned tasks on time.
• Support emergency service callouts on a rotating basis.
• Other duties as assigned by the Company.
