Job summary

MSS Fire and Security, LLC is seeking a Project Technician – Fire I to support installation and certification of fire safety product lines across commercial and industrial sites. You will guide the installation process, verify standards for quality and safety, and add devices to existing systems while certifying modifications.

The role requires ability to read blueprints, use hand tools and a multimeter, and to interact with customers and general contractors.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in commercial/industrial fire alarm systems.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and certification of fire safety product lines.
• Guide installation process and ensure standards are met for quality and safety.
• Add devices to existing systems and adequately certify the system after any modification.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes as required to keep systems operational and reliable.
• Interact with the customer or general contractor to ensure work is performed as expected.
• Communicate schedule ability, material needs, or any job-related issues with the Project Management team.
• Complete assigned tasks on time.
• Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
