Job summary

Network Mountain is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to lead complex fire alarm initiatives in New York City. This senior role requires ownership from turnover through installation, testing, inspection, closeout, and customer turnover.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and documentation while coordinating field technicians, subcontractors, and customers in a dynamic construction environment. NICET I/II or PMP is a plus; extensive field experience is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in fire alarm/life-safety/construction PM.
• Strong knowledge of installation, testing, inspection, and system turnover.
• Experience coordinating field technicians, contractors, customers, and construction teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and costs.
• Credible with experienced technicians and field personnel.
• NICET I, NICET II, or PMP is a plus; substantial fire alarm experience preferred.

This is a senior level position for someone who has already managed fire alarm or life safety projects and can take ownership from project turnover through installation, testing, inspection, closeout, and customer turnover.

• Communicate directly with customers and maintain clear expectations throughout the project.
• Work within active construction environments where coordination, timing, and documentation are critical.
• Take ownership of project performance and drive issues to resolution rather than waiting for problems to be escalated.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in fire alarm, life safety, or construction project management.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm installation, programming, testing, inspection, and system turnover.
• Experience working directly with field technicians, contractors, customers, and construction teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining control of schedules, costs, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of how fire alarm work is actually performed in the field.
• Ability to establish credibility with experienced technicians and field personnel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NICET I, NICET II, or PMP certification is a plus, but substantial fire alarm experience is more important than the credential alone.
