Job summary

ABcom is a national low voltage commercial structured cabling contractor seeking a fire alarm Project Engineer/Estimator to support sales with design, takeoffs, and cost estimates for commercial, medical, and government projects.

You will visit sites, prepare bills of materials, coordinate with operations, and present proposals that meet gross profit targets. Travel to job sites and maintain ABcom image while coordinating with sales and PMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology-related field or equivalent.
• NICET and RCDD certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with NEC, NFPA, and IBC codes; MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales with site visits, design, takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Prepare bills of materials and proposals for new and retrofit jobs.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop proposals that meet gross profit requirements.
• Travel to office and customer sites; maintain professional ABcom image.
