Job summary

DGA Security in New York is seeking an Associate Project Manager – Fire Alarm to support planning, coordination and execution of commercial fire alarm projects in the NY metropolitan area. You will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, engineering/design, vendors, contractors, clients and AHJs to move projects from handoff through installation, inspection, final acceptance and closeout.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination/management in construction or electrical contracting.
• Familiarity with fire alarm or low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documentation.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Fire Alarm Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from project handoff to closeout.
• Coordinate project schedules, field activities, materials, procurement and logistics to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors and AHJs to communicate requirements and resolve issues.
• Review drawings, specifications and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and track permit applications and documentation with AHJs through final acceptance.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders and closeout documentation.
