Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager in Richmond, Virginia. The role oversees fire alarm scope across projects, including planning, submittals, procurement, installation, testing, and turnover, traveling to sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fire alarm PM, strong NFPA knowledge, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project. NICET II certification preferred; OSHA 30 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in fire alarm project management.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and code references (NFPA 70/72/101).
• Experience with submittals, procurement, installation, testing, turnover.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage fire alarm system installation across projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities to meet design specs and schedules.
• Oversee preconstruction through final commissioning of fire alarm scopes.
• Interface with Project Management Team to track progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure work complies with NFPA standards and AHJ requirements; travel to sites.
