Job summary

Montana Wyoming Systems, a division of Yellowstone Electric, seeks experienced technicians to install, service, and test commercial low-voltage systems across Montana and Wyoming.

Responsibilities include reading plans, performing inspections, and certifying work to code. You will mentor apprentices and collaborate with Project Managers while delivering top-quality customer service and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Two+ years of experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting low-voltage systems.
  • NICET Level II certification or actively pursuing it.
  • Montana Fire Alarm license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as projects require.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • IBEW union contractor experience or interest in joining a union shop.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission fire alarm, security, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and certifications to meet code.
  • Read plans and ensure installations comply with standards.
  • Mentor apprentices and help develop their skills.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule.
  • Deliver high-quality work with excellent customer service.

Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in installing systems that protect people and property?

Do you have two or more years of experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting low-voltage systems?

Have you worked with systems such as:
  • Access Control
  • Nurse Call
  • Low Voltage General Troubleshooting

Are you NICET Level II certified (or working toward it)?

Are you able to obtain your Montana State Fire Alarm License within 30 days of hire?

Do you have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record?

Are you comfortable traveling overnight when projects require it?

Can you pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening?

Would you enjoy working alongside skilled tradespeople as part of an IBEW union contractor?
