Job summary

State Fire is seeking qualified Fire Alarm Technicians to support low voltage construction and service projects in Boise, ID, and surrounding areas. You will perform installation, maintenance, and service of fire alarm systems while upholding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • NICET Level 1 or equivalent certification (or higher) required.
  • Idaho Limited Energy License or ability to obtain within 90 days required.
  • 2+ years of low voltage field experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints required.
  • Skilled in trade-specific tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects required.
  • Proficiency in English required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and service of fire alarm systems.
  • Respond to and assess emergency service or warranty calls.
  • Maintain daily safety paperwork, including Field Level Risk Assessments and job site inspections.
  • Lead or collaborate with subcontractors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain relationships with Project Managers, Property Managers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Travel to other states as workload requires.
  • Ensure clean, safe, and productive work environments on all job sites.
