VSC Fire & Security in Jonesboro, Arkansas is seeking a Fire Alarm - Low Voltage Service Technician to provide safe, efficient service on integrated systems. The role requires hands-on work with fire alarm, security, cameras, access control and related systems, diagnosing issues, and delivering customer-focused solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience servicing relevant systems, can read plans, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

Two to three years of experience servicing fire alarm, security systems, camera systems, access control, or similar systems.
Proficient at following written and verbal instructions with attention to detail and communication.
Able to read plans and understand building layouts; pass background checks and have a valid state driver's license.
Desirable NICET II/III in FAS or ITFAS, Avigilon cert, or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and repair fire alarm, security, camera, access control, and related systems.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and resolve false alarms.
Program various systems and test for proper operation.
Consult with clients on system issues and provide repair recommendations.
Read blueprints/building plans to determine installation scope.
Run wiring, install hardware, and connect electrical wiring.
Inspect systems and batteries; make adjustments and repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA codes.
Explain system functions to end users; provide training as needed.
