Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our Maryland team. The role covers installation and checkout on fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems, with emphasis on reading drawings and following specifications.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of LV installer experience, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. Valid license and ability to travel are preferred, with safety compliance a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of Fire Alarm/LV installer experience.
• Solid knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Experience terminating field devices.
• State and locally required minimum certifications.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• Ability to work under deadlines and with urgency.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.
• Troubleshoot circuit opens, shorts, or ground conditions.
• Install and run wires, wire devices, fish walls, and doors.
• Complete paperwork, timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Keep as-built drawings current.
• Comply with safety programs and policies.
