Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our team. You will perform installation and checkout on systems using drawings, procedures, and customer interface to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 1–3 years of LV installation experience, knowledge of commercial electrical systems, and ability to read blueprints and terminate field devices. Travel and valid license may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm/LV Installer.
• Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
• Experience in termination of field devices.
• State and locally required minimum certifications.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm, voice/data, and security.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.
• Troubleshoot circuit opens, shorts, or ground conditions.
• Install and run wires, wire devices, fish walls, and doors.
• Complete paperwork, including timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.
