VSC Fire & Security in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm- Low Voltage Installation Technician to install and service integrated systems including fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and networking infrastructure.

The role requires one year of commercial installation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read electrical plans and manuals. A valid driver’s license and willingness to participate in on-call rotation are needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience installing commercial construction Integrated Systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficient in following instructions in equipment manuals and translating them into simple steps.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Able to read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze needs and product requirements for installation and/or service.
• Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate product, service, or process performance.
• Operate industry-specific tools to ensure proper installation and/or service.
• Identify and evaluate complex problems, review information, and implement corrective action plans.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, job site personnel, and vendors.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the installation and service of Integrated Systems.
• Maintain proper risk management and safety procedures on all job sites per VSC.
• Oversee, plan, schedule, and prioritize the work of others and delegate tasks.
