What You Will Do
- Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites.
- Perform panel programming, resolve low voltage circuit issues, and test systems.
- Organize and utilize technical resources efficiently to complete tasks.
- Focus on networked fire alarm systems, with programming responsibilities.
How You Will Do It
- Perform installations according to blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Supervise and inspect installation work to meet specifications.
- Complete necessary certification courses.
- Maintain documentation of activities and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Over five years of experience with Fire Alarm Systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, and submittals.
- Experience with hand tools, test equipment, and commissioning devices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to carry equipment up to 70 lbs and work in challenging positions.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends, and potential overnight travel.
- Customer service skills, teamwork, safety adherence, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug tests.
- Knowledge of electronic/digital test equipment and basic network concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electronics, Networking, or related fields.
- Experience in fire alarm installation and programming.
- NICET Level II certification or ability to obtain it within a year.
