City Fire and Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm & Suppression Inspection/Service Technician to join our team! You will install, service, inspect, and repair alarm wiring and equipment. Boost your career with experience in Fire Alarm with fire suppression knowledge.

About City Fire And Safety Inc: City Fire is family-owned and family-run since 1986. We are a full-service fire protection company, specializing in fire alarm, sprinkler, extinguishers, and suppression. CFS streamlines the fire safety process by combining all fire needs into one.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as control panels, initiating devices, notification devices, suppression extinguishers, and electrical wiring to ensure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs.
2. Install and program new and existing fire alarm and suppression systems.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and suppression systems.
4. Pull wire, install raceways, mount, and program control panels.
5. Identify risks to customers and provide effective solutions.
6. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm and suppression systems.
7. Monitor inventory of service parts.
8. Create and submit inspection reports and expense reports.

Qualifications:

1. Fire alarm programming experience required.
2. High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
3. Previous experience in fire installation, maintenance, or other related fields.
4. Familiarity with hand and power tools.
5. Ability to handle physical workload.
6. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
7. Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
8. 2-5 years of experience preferred.
9. Ability to use a tablet.
10. Valid driver's license.
11. NICET certification preferred, but not required.
12. Carry/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
13. Able to pass a drug test.
14. Flexibility to work overtime and some overnight travel.
