City Fire and Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm & Suppression Inspection/Service Technician to join our team! You will install, service, inspect, and repair alarm wiring and equipment. Boost your career with experience in Fire Alarm systems and fire suppression knowledge.

About City Fire And Safety Inc:

City Fire is a family-owned and family-run business since 1986. We are a full-service fire protection company, specializing in fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and suppression. CFS streamlines fire safety by combining all fire needs into one.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as control panels, initiating devices, notification devices, suppression extinguishers, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal operation and perform repairs as needed.
• Install and program new and existing fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and suppression systems.
• Pull wire, install raceways, mount, and program control panels.
• Identify risks to customers and provide effective solutions.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on alarm and suppression systems.
• Monitor inventory of service parts.
• Create and submit inspection and expense reports.

Qualifications:

• Fire Alarm programming experience required.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Previous experience in fire installation, maintenance, or related fields.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
• 2-5 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to use a tablet.
• Valid driver’s license.
• NICET certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to carry/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Flexibility to work overtime and some overnight travel.
